Champagne Stakes 2012 – Betting & Odds

September 27th, 2012

Betting markets have opened for the Group 3 Champagne Stakes, which is due to run at Moonee Valley Racecourse tomorrow night September 28, 2012.

Favourite to win the 2012 Champagne Stakes is Snitzerland, who is paying odds of $1.65 to win the race at bookmaker.com.au.

Snitzerland has won four of her seven race starts and has earned more than $1.08 million in prize money during her horse racing career.

The Snitzel filly has won both of her race starts this spring, with her most recent being in the Group 2 Danehill Stakes at Flemington Racecourse.

Trainer Gerald Ryan is full of confidence when it comes to Snitzerland’s winning chances after her successful track gallop earlier this week.

“She came here for some experience on the track,” Ryan said.

“But she’s trotting around looking at the grandstand.

“I’ve always thought she goes better the Melbourne way and she didn’t turn a hair here today.

“Always on the right leg, handled it fine.”

Second favourite for the 2012 Champagne Stakes is currently Elite Elle, who is paying $4 at bookmaker.com.au, while third favourite for the race is Hoss Amor at $11.

The least backed runner in the 2012 Champagne Stakes field is presently Valid Contract, who is paying $101 to win the race.
